Heat change Tetris mug - review!!

This will be easy and fun for everyone :D

The prices variety from £4 all the way up to £12 so It really depends where you go to get one. I find eBay, Amazon and MenKind have the best prices.

I have now done a review on one of the most amazing retro mug EVER! 

So I got this mug about two months ago and I must say that regards to the heat change application it works really well. The transition between the start of the Tetris game when the mug is cold all the way to half way through a game when hot is simply amazing. I didn't think a heat change mug would work this well, I was pleasantly surprised.

I tested the mug out many times over the course of the last two months and regarding wear and tear the mug its self is still going strong with no signs of damage.

the Tetris transfer started getting a bit faded. It looked as if it had been used a lot and was showing signs of use. but that's all okay because it now looks more retro.

I have tested this out in the dishwasher because of being curious of what might happen when washed in a powerful environment and as I guessed the outlines and decals were peeling in places and also looks as if they were missing lines that made the Tetris game box. These are far from dish washer safe but we all know that now anyway :D

The mug is a little on the small size for what I normally drink out of but over all this is a perfect cup for the perfect cup of tea of coffee and I don't really have anything bad to say about it.

It is an easy 9 out of 10 and would be higher but the transfers aren't dishwasher safe. Still very happy with it and what are you still doing here? Go get yourself one!! Follow the links below :D

HTC Desire 610 - Review

Review on the HTC Desire 610

Well after a good 6 months of using this phone I have now come up with what I believe to be a accurate review on this product. I am being 100% honest and will give you all the good and bad sides to owning and using this phone!

The HTC Desire 610 is a respectable mid-range phone, with a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM and a 4.7 inch 540 x 960 display with a pixel density of 234 pixels per inch.

There’s an 8 megapixel camera, 8GB of storage and a microSD card slot and while it doesn’t have the premium metal build of higher end HTC phones, it has plenty of other standard HTC features, such as dual front-facing speakers with BoomSound for impeccable audio quality and BlinkFeed for easy access to news and social network updates.

This is a good phone and using it many times to do a variation of different things has proven to be one of the better mobile phones I have used. It lacks a lot of important features that I think a competitive phone would need. and listed below are a few of the pros and cons I have found when using this phone.

Pros - 

The phone has an amazing built in sound system, Playing music out loud is great and easy to use, The volume goes up high enough to be able to play music to a level of being unsociable so you might want to restrain from using in the street or on public transport due to causing noise pollution and causing people to think you are causing a disturbance but on the other hand if this is your goal then go a head :D

When plugging in earphones or headphones the sound quality doesnt fade with an amazing 3D effect surround sound effect that makes you feel like you are watching the music artist live on stage or even in a stadium. It really has an amazing sound system so if this is what you want for a phone I would struggle fitting you in with a better one!

The screen resolution is clear and easy to see, With a largish screen and simple layout it is very easy to use. Viewing images, watching videos or typing out a text messages couldn't be easier due the crisp viewing platform. The touch feature is soft and delicate enough to reduce accidental clicks and also provides a quiet soft feel when in use.

The main camera on the back is a massive 8MP and this is brilliant for taking some of the most accurate and perfect shots. Not a bad shutter speed either. Due to the clear image you can snap as many pictures as you want and view with just a click of a button seeing exactly what the camera can see. Who would of thought that we would ever have a mobile phone with a mega pixel as large as 8. I am still use to the old VGA cameras!

The phone is small and lightweight. perfect for any pocket, bag or coat. Not much can be said about a small phone but this one is just perfect for those who want a high end phone but with the practicality of a big one. It is big gone small :D

A good feature that caught my eye was that when the phone is locked you can still use the camera.... I know right! 

Don't know why you would ever need to but it was a quirky little thing that made me smile.

The phone of choice came as a coral colour, One of only phones i have ever seen in this colour.

it is pretty and really looks the part. kind of a reddish, pinky, salmon colour. Really like this about it!

Cons - 

Right where do I start!...

For ONE the back doesn't come off..... At all!

So if you (for any reason) want to see the battery, Or even replace it you have to send it off to professionals to have this done, This would be okay if you don't mind spending a few quid but it is certainly not as easy as just ordering a spare battery off eBay!

Big NO.... NO - You should be able to take apart you phone if desired.

The phone is also known to freeze. Never really taking this as a problem until I was checking my online banking and it froze to the point my bank timed out so the security in place logged me out and after doing this three times I found this as a problem. In the end the phone worked after re-starting it and loading it from scratch..... If you don't mind re-starting you phone every time you want to check your bank then this is the phone for you!

Turning the phone on after about 4 months of having the thing started to become a problem. It wouldnt always respond to the first time holding down the ON button!

It would take between 2 and 4 attempts to get it to load. Not good if you need to make an important phone call. Good job I wasn't in desperate need of an ambulance!

The front camera is a let down. As good as the rear camera is you cant really take clear selfies on the front one and would struggle using the rear one.

I does the job but when it comes to clear images it really is a let down.

I want crisp pictures but nope!.... No chance!

These are all the problems I have found with this phone and not to say your phone is not perfect, but mine seemed to miss a lot of important things.

I have just maybe had one out of the bunch that is not as good as the others... who knows.

Due to the cons over shadowing the pros I couldn't recommend this mobile phone to people as I don't feel for the price of it you really get what you can get with many more phones currently on the market and some for way cheaper!

This phone is very expensive for what it is and you can easily pick up a better phone for the same price. That said. It is good for capturing pictures and storage is big and with quick access to the internet you can also use you social media in a flash.

I would rate this phone 6 out of 10 due to the price for product.

I have had mine for little over a week now and out of all the tablets I have had this on certainly stands out from the crowd.

With a white back and black from the screen is a whopping 9" in size and come with front and rear cameras perfect for Snapchat or taking pictures with a wide view. Also you have built in WIFI so no need to worry about paying for internet when on this device, No added contracts needed, If you want to share from multiple devices you can with ease using the Bluetooth that is built in to reduce paying for a dongle.

It comes default with 8GB of memory (That is far from shabby) and a space for a memory card if you need a little bit more room for all your things.

My opinion 

So I must say I have given this product a good running, Trying to push it to its limits and see what it can really do. 

It has kept up really well and after a good few hours of leaving it running without use the battery still remained alive and that was with a game still in play. 

The screen is a large size and amazing for watching films and playing games! unfortunately the screen doesn't like the sun so if you are in the car, sat outside in the sun or even just sat in your living room you can see the shine on the screen but saying that it doesn't effect the device and I cant really say it bothers me.

It is a neat looking thing. Compact for such a large device. It is easily hidden away out of sight. It fits nicely into my car glove box when needed and also between two book on the shelf.

With the choice to set a password or lock code I am secure in knowing that no snoopy bugger can access my personal files.

It has so many options that you can customize anything you can think of. You can be using it for hours just playing around. 

Now lets get to the sound!

The speakers are not bad considering the size of them on the back.

The only down side is that if you are watching a film on the Tablet then you have to make sure you don't cover the speakers. It does cut out 90% of the sound.

Or if you lean it on your leg, or bed this will also take out most of the sound.

Using a bluetooth speaker is VERY effective, This is the option I go for when watching movies on the Tablet.

Plug in headphones!

The set comes with headphones and these aren't the best so I would recommend investing in a better pair.

They are good but feel cheap and look like they are made from a weak plastic.

When in use they feel loose in your ear and you can tell they are just to bulk out the package a bit.

If you would only use them to listen to the backing on a game then they are perfect but for a film or for just listening to music you can really hear a drop in quality.

I would recommend grabbing yourself a set of over ear headphones from makes such as Sony, Sennheiser, Bose or Samsung

With a good set you can really hear the quality of the music/sound.

What really killed the dinosaurs?

So how did the dinosaurs die?

What really killed them off!

The Cretaceous-Tertiary extinction event, or the K-T event, is the name given to the die-off of the dinosaurs and other species that took place some 65.5 million years ago. For many years, paleontologists believed this event was caused by climate and geological changes that interrupted the dinosaurs’ food supply. However, in the 1980's, father-and-son scientists Luis (1911-88) and Walter Alvarez (1940-) discovered in the geological record a distinct layer of iridium–an element found in abundance only in space–that corresponds to the precise time the dinosaurs died. This suggests that a comet, asteroid or meteor impact event may have caused the extinction of the dinosaurs. In the 1990's, scientists located the massive Chicxulub Crater at the tip of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, which dates to the period in question.

Dinosaurs roamed the earth for 160 million years until their sudden demise some 65.5 million years ago, in an event now known as the Cretaceous-Tertiary, or K-T, extinction event. (“K” is the abbreviation for Cretaceous, which is associated with the German word “Kreidezeit.”) Besides dinosaurs, many other species of mammals, amphibians and plants died out at the same time. Over the years, paleontologists have proposed several theories for this extensive die-off. One early theory was that small mammals ate dinosaur eggs, thereby reducing the dinosaur population until it became unsustainable. Another theory was that dinosaurs’ bodies became too big to be operated by their small brains. Some scientists believed a great plague decimated the dinosaur population and then spread to the animals that feasted on their carcasses. Starvation was another possibility: Large dinosaurs required vast amounts of food and could have stripped bare all the vegetation in their habitat. But many of these theories are easily dismissed. If dinosaurs’ brains were too small to be adaptive, they would not have flourished for 160 million years. Also, plants do not have brains nor do they suffer from the same diseases as animals, so their simultaneous extinction makes these theories less plausible.

For many years, climate change was the most credible explanation for the dinosaurs’ demise. Dinosaurs thrived in the planet’s consistently humid, tropical climate. But in the late Mesozoic Era that corresponds with the extinction of the dinosaurs, evidence shows that the planet slowly became cooler. Lower temperatures caused ice to form over the North and South poles and the oceans to become colder. Because the dinosaurs were cold-blooded–meaning they obtained body heat from the sun and the air–they would not have been able to survive in significantly colder climates. Yet some species of cold-blooded animals, such as crocodiles, did manage to survive. Also, climate change would have taken tens of thousands of years, giving the dinosaurs sufficient time to adapt.

In 1956, Russian astronomer Joseph Shklovsky (1916-85) became the first scientist to consider the extinction was due to a single catastrophic event when he theorized that a supernova (the explosion of a dying star) showered the earth in radiation that could have killed the dinosaurs. Once again, the problem with the theory was explaining why dinosaurs died out and other species did not. Also, scientists said that such an event would have left evidence on the surface of the earth–trace amounts of radiation dating back to the Cretaceous Period. None was found.

Enter Luis Alvarez, a Nobel Prize-winning physicist, inventor and pioneer in the field of radiation and nuclear research. He and his son, noted geologist Walter Alvarez, were conducting research in Italy when they discovered a centimeter-thick layer of iridium-enriched clay at the K-T boundary. Iridium is rare on earth, but more common in space. The Alvarezes published their findings in 1981, postulating that the thin layer of iridium was deposited following the impact of a large meteor, comet or asteroid with the earth. Furthermore, this bolide impact (the meteor, comet or asteroid colliding with the earth’s surface) could have caused the extinction of the dinosaurs. At the time, the Alvarez theory was so far removed from prevailing hypotheses that it was ridiculed. Slowly, though, other scientists began finding iridium evidence at various places around the globe that corroborated the Alvarez theory. There was, however, no smoking gun in the form of an impact site.

Then in 1991, a massive meteor crater 110 miles in diameter was discovered on the edge of the Yucatan Peninsula, extending into the Gulf of Mexico. The Chicxulub Crater, as it was dubbed, was named for a nearby village. Scientists believe the bolide that formed it was roughly 6 miles in diameter, struck the earth at 40,000 miles per hour and released 2 million times more energy than the most powerful nuclear bomb ever detonated. The heat would have broiled the earth’s surface, ignited wildfires worldwide and plunged the planet into darkness as debris clouded the atmosphere. Miles-high tsunamis would have washed over the continents, drowning many forms of life. Shock waves would have triggered earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.

The resulting darkness could have lasted for months, possibly years. It would have plunged the earth’s temperatures into the freezing zone, killing plants and leaving herbivores with nothing to eat. Many dinosaurs would have died within weeks. The carnivores who feasted on the herbivores would have died a month or two later. Overall, the loss of biodiversity would have been tremendous. Only small scavenging mammals that could burrow into the ground and eat whatever remained would have survived. The iridium layer plus the Chicxulub Crater were evidence enough to convince many scientists that the bolide impact theory was credible. It explained much of what previous theories could not.

Paleontology remains a competitive discipline even though its central mystery appears to have been solved. Agreement over dinosaur extinction is far from unanimous, and fossils continue to be found that add to the body of knowledge about how the dinosaurs lived and died. Only recently have birds been identified as descendants of the dinosaurs, and theories regarding dinosaur intelligence and behavior continue to change. Even long-established truths such as dinosaurs’ cold-bloodedness are open for debate. The climate change theory still holds sway over some scientists, who refute that the Chicxulub impact was the sole cause of the extinction. Evidence from the 65-million-year-old lava flows in India hint that a giant, gaseous volcanic plume might have initiated global climate change that threatened the dinosaurs. Scientists’ continued research will help paint a more detailed picture of the ever-changing, ever-evolving planet.

The End Of The World

Hello lovely people and thank you for joining me on my rant about 'The End Of The World'

Lets start of this post by saying that despite the controversy about this planet and why we are here, begs the question as to what is our purpose and even how long do we have as a human race left to live before the end of our existence.

I have heard so many things about how we will all reach our fate, some have been likely but other are so far fetched that its hard to take it into account that it could be actually real!

So what is this planet created on?

It is structurally sound and visabily invisible compared to our sister planets in our solar system, With every star in the sky being a huge ball of burning gas orbiting around in its own solar system the sheer amount of pull, movement and force is way beyond the humans capability to understand. 

The life span of this planet can only live as long as one humans life span due to the complexity of the time and age of the individual. from birth to death. So who really knows how long the planet has been here and for how long it will remain.

We have come along leaps and bounds from the first technological break through of discovering so many useful and well needed electrical appliances. We have managed to power homes all over the world using the power of the sun and the wind, we have explored space, planets and even walked on the moon, we have more cures for diseases then ever before and people in every day lives have mobile phones that have the power to do almost anything. The pen is mightier than the sword and this has more than proved that this statement is true.

So we know about advancement with in our own human race, We know about space travel and planet investigation but the real question is what is down there at the bottom of the deepest ocean?

We have no clue what so ever and with theory's about space, UFOs, Aliens, Invasions, Meteors, Asteroids destroying us and tectonic plates shifting and causing a ripple effect of earthquakes ending the world as we know it, It really begs the question what is down there and will we ever be able to find out?

I has been one of the most talked about subjects for years and because of never being able to find out the answer it has also been one of the most frustrating conversations, People create there own theory to what they think will happen to the Earth but who really knows. Even the extinction of the dinosaurs was a scientific theory that they deemed to be the most likely way to wipe out the planet of its population but could that ever happen again? 

Not likely. We as a Human race have so many answers to all mans questions that in a naive kind of way we are never wrong so 'back up plans' have also been put into action just in case this world was close to extinction. To our knowledge we are the only self sustaining race that has even been able to prevent its own extinction. The intelligence of the world as a whole is much greater that is has ever been before as looking back through history and discovery. Learning is the main objective of life and learning things new is always possible and it happens every day without you even knowing it.

With the amount of movies and TV programs about the end of the world its hard to think it might never happen, Some of my favorite films are about the end of the world.

These cover everything from Alien invasion to natural world disasters, And all theory's have grown since the movies have become such a big hit.

YouTube is full of information about how the world is due to end and how the government is trying to hide this information from the public to reduce the amount of riot and panic but in my opinion i feel that if the world was to end i wouldn't like to know because i can imagine waiting for your death would be one of the most stressful and heart panicking ways to live your last few days

Just type in Area 51 and you will be loaded full of theory's about the place and how its a big Alien cover up.

The beauty about the Earth and the Human race is that we are all free thinkers and because of this we can all make up our mind to what we want to believe and what works best for us to understand.

We don't all want the unanswered questions to be answered but many people do. Could you handle the truth if it was given to you?

We are all entitled to our own opinions and this is why the human race is so different to every other species on the planet.

My feeling on the end of the world is, One day I think the world will come to an end to make way for new life to grow and become something magical but i don't believe its anytime soon, we are talking many thousands of years from now, and by then the human race would be so advance who knows what kind of defense we might have. Flying cars? time travel? advance space travel? and maybe people might even live on the moon. who knows.
